Boys Basketball District Pairing Announced
Deja vu for the Red Arrows, as they draw East Grand Rapids in the first round of the MHSAA Division 1 Boys Basketball Tournament.
The Red Arrows will take on the Pioneers on Monday, Feb. 23rd at Ottawa Hills. The Pioneers are 8-12 on the season, playing in one of the more challenging boys basketball conferences in the state.
The winner with get Northview in the district semifinal, also to be held at Ottawa Hills. Northview (16-4) would be a favorite against either team, the Wildcats are ranked 11th in the MHSAA’s MPR rankings. The Red Arrows (7-13) do just edge out the Pioneers in those same rankings.
The Red Arrows drew EGR last year in the first round of districts as well, the Pioneers winning 60-47. They would lose to…. you guessed it… Northview in the next round.
