Lowell Area Schools Hiring Bus Drivers for 2026-2027 School Year

Lowell Area Schools is hiring full-time bus drivers and substitute drivers for the 2026-2027 school year and beyond.

Full-time drivers will earn between $22.07 and $23.44 per hour based on driving experience. Substitute drivers will start at $22.07 per hour.

Applicants who do not already have the required commercial driver’s license can still apply. Lowell Area Schools will provide and pay for training for qualified applicants.

The district is also offering flexible scheduling options. Drivers may be able to work morning routes, afternoon routes, athletic events, extra trips or a combination of those assignments.

Full-time drivers who work morning and afternoon routes for a total of four runs are now eligible for single-subscriber insurance along with dental and vision benefits.

Applicants should have a strong driving record, good communication skills and the ability to work a school-year schedule. Previous school bus driving experience is not required.
