Lowell Boys Finish in 8th at Hastings Team Invitational

Lowell finished eighth at the Hastings Team Invitational, competing against many of the top programs from both the regional and conference ranks.

The Red Arrows took part in the MITCA scoring format, which places an emphasis on team depth. In that system, every athlete who records a legal time or mark contributes to the team total, making each performance valuable and giving the meet a different feel than most traditional invitationals.

The highlight of the day came late in the meet, when junior Marshall Huhn set a new school record in the 3200-meter run. Huhn won the race in 9:25.75, breaking the previous school record set by teammate Cooper Byrne in 2025.

Earlier in the day, Huhn also won the 1600-meter run in 4:23.13, giving him a sweep of the distance events.

Lowell added two more medals in the 3200, with Cooper Byrne taking fourth in 9:44.49 and Cody Bromley earning the final medal position with an eighth-place finish in 9:54.79, giving the Red Arrows three medalists in the event.

Senior Marek Pullen also reached the podium for Lowell, placing third in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.36.

Lowell finished eighth in the final team standings with 866 points.
